The Story Behind the Space!
Hi, I’m Nik Caspian. I’m 34, and I live in Napa Valley, not exactly the place people expect a home decor guy to come from. I grew up around vineyards, barns, and traditional ideas of what men should do, and decorating a room definitely wasn’t on that list.
I studied business administration and now work remotely as an operations manager at a private firm, but my real passion showed up when I moved into my first rental. I realised quickly that my brain needs order. I’m meticulous by nature. People call it OCD these days, I’m not sure that’s medically correct in my case, but if a frame is crooked, I notice. If colours clash, it bothers me.
That attention to detail taught me something important – decorating isn’t gendered. It’s emotional intelligence. It’s about understanding how a space supports the people living in it. I am drawn to homes that feel clean, personal, stylish, and thoughtfully put together, not necessarily expensive. You don’t need to spend a fortune to create a space that feels like home.
Sometimes, it’s the simplest, most affordable choices that bring the most comfort and character. This website became a way to document that journey, share DIY wins, renovation lessons, and mistakes I never saw coming, while breaking the taboo that only women can care about how a home feels.
